The Gold nanoparticles (i.e. particles with a diameter of less than 10 nanometers) are the subject of study by the CNRS "Or Nano" group. They have unexpected properties and applications in fields such as biology, therapies, catalysis, optics, etc.
They would thus be able to destroy cancer cells. Or to avoid misting glasses, mirrors and other windshields.
